Field Trip!

On Thursday, we took our first field trip to the Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals. We recently began our science unit on Pebbles, Sand and Silt so this was the perfect trip to get the students excited about what we are learning in the classroom. The kids did a great job on the trip and had a fantastic time! Thank you to all the chaperones who were able to come on the trip with us!

Author Box Presentations

All I can say is...WOW! The kids did a wonderful job decorating and filling their author boxes. The boxes were creative, informative and each unique in their own way. The Author Box presentations went very well as our first graders had their first exposure to speaking in front of a group. Not an easy task and I am very proud of each and every one of them. Enjoy these photos of the presenters and their beautiful literary boxes!
